Corporate Tax Instalments

Corporate tax instalments are prepayments a company sends the Canada Revenue Agency through the year instead of settling the whole bill at filing time. Once a corporation owes more than a small amount of tax, the CRA expects these regular payments and charges interest, and sometimes a penalty, when they arrive late or fall short. Estimating them well keeps cash flow predictable and avoids surprise charges at year-end. Our guide to corporate tax instalments explains the payment options and how to size each one.
